Services Offered
The Carolina First Center for Excellence is proud of the fact that we offer professional development and training services to over 1200 teachers every year. Our staff provides:- Professional development sessions at each school in which all staff attend
- A sliding scale of training sessions every year based on how long a school has partnered with CFCE
- Monthly best practice meetings to showcase work at individual schools and to facilitate teachers networking and learning from each other
- Four day and two day seminars with national education experts Dr. Lee Jenkins and David Langford
- Meetings of special interest groups, such as guidance counselors, art, music, special education teachers, etc.
- Principals' meetings
- Professional development services extended to new teachers in partner schools
- Other support services upon request of the schools such as PTA and SIC presentations, classroom coaching, grade-level support, and others to meet the needs of the school
