Ambassadors Committee Objectives
•Visit new member businesses on behalf of the Greater Greenville Chamber.
•Communicate Chamber accomplishments, activities, and benefits to members.
•Report members' specific problems, concerns, or questions that may be
addressed by other Chamber committees, leadership, or staff.
•Encourage participation in Chamber programs, projects, and events.
•Encourage business retention throughout our market area.
Benefits to Committee Members The Chamber makes every effort to provide opportunities for (and recognition of) its volunteers.
By serving as an Ambassador, you can:
•Gain an entree to key decision-makers of the business community; and to meet business owners of your choice to build critical contacts and relationships.
•Learn more about the business climate and share in an informal executive forum arena.
•Participate in the growth of the Chamber and of the Greater Greenville business community.
•Gain personal recognition as an informed, involved member of the Greenville Chamber.
Committee Member Recognition •Each month, the Ambassador with the most points is recognized as Ambassador of the Month and will be highlighted in the Chamber's newsletter.
•Each year, the Ambassador with the most points is honored as our Ambassador of the Year and is recognized at the Chamber's Annual Meeting.
Scoring System The Ambassador Committee will use a scoring system that quantifies the work of each individual Ambassador. Assigned staff will maintain the scoring records, based on attendance and written contact reports.
Click here to download the Monthly Account Records Sign Out Sheet . The scoring structure is intended to assure Ambassadors that all members are actively participating and carrying out the goals and objectives of the committee. Points are tallied monthly.
•Each Ambassador meeting attended - 10 points
•Each personal visit made to assigned members, reported in writing - 10 points
•Each phone call or email made to assigned members, reported in writing - 5 points
•Each Chamber event attended - 10 points
•Each Chamber member that joins a committee -5 points
Meetings Ambassador meetings will be held on the third Thursday of each month (unless otherwise determined) at the Chamber, located at 24 Cleveland Street in Greenville, SC. Attendance at eight meetings per year is required.
