Small Business Needs Assessed, Addressed

As with most chambers of commerce across the country, the majority of the membership for the Greater Greenville Chamber of Commerce has been and still is small business.  In fact, approximately 87 percent of the Chamber's membership is small businesses, defined as those with 50 employees or less.

The Greenville Chamber makes every effort to understand what its members'needs are and what the Chamber can do to help them be more successful with their business.

What we found
The Chamber's studies have shown that the key areas of focus for small business members include:

•Making profitable and productive links and connections to prospects and clients, whether local or worldwide;
•Learning new skills to improve business acumen, results and impact;
•Encouraging and celebrating homegrown businesses; and,
•Making effective connections through volunteer and leadership opportunities.
•Most importantly, we have learned that there is great diversity among our small business partners and that a one-size-fits-all approach will not work.
