A Word to PULSE Members... |

What an exciting year and a half it’s been for PULSE. From the beginning, PULSE has been a success and continues to help Greenville foster and engage its young talent. The future of Greenville depends on this talent and its ability to lead us into the future. PULSE is the catalyst for that movement. In a little more than one year, PULSE has grown from a starting Board of 12 to more than 500 members. Not too bad, huh? With successes like the Leadership Enrichment Series, Pace Setters and Check Your PULSE, we are continuing to serve as a model for young talent retention and engagement, not only in the Southeast but in the entire country. PULSE is pleased to announce that we will be re-releasing the PULSE Green Card soon. This card will serve as your membership card as well as a discount card to a variety of local businesses in the area. When the card is re-launched, we will send each member a copy and will post a listing of businesses and discounts on the PULSE website. Speaking of the website, we are also in the final stages of re-designing. Thanks to Board member Kristin Williamson and Advisory Board member Jeff Papenfus, we are working to create a more comprehensive site that will be easy to navigate, will provide information on seminars and events and will house archived photos and newsletters. Our hope is that this website will become a tool that is used by each PULSE member to find out about current events and happenings. Thank you for your continued support for PULSE. We are growing each day and will only get better from here. Within the next six months, we will be conducting another Membership Survey, so be on the look out for that. In the meantime, continue to enjoy your membership in PULSE.

The Downtown Symphony Club is the Greenville Symphony Orchestra's group for young professionals and was established to cultivate the next generation of symphony patrons. The mission of the DSC is to create awareness, cultivate new audiences and increase support for the GSO. The DSC would like to invite PULSE members to attend its next Spotlight Series concert, "A Bohemian Bash," and post-concert gathering this Friday, March 16 at 7 p.m. at Centre Stage. Spotlight Series concerts cost $15, last only one hour and feature GSO principal musicians in a casual atmosphere...no stuffy concert halls or formal dress required! DSC and PULSE members will meet in the Centre Stage lobby at 6:30 p.m. for drinks prior to the concert and then gather at the Bohemian Cafe on Stone Avenue afterwards. All DSC and PULSE members will receive a discount on food and drinks if they show their concert program. To purchase your ticket, contact Carter Meadors with the GSO at 864-232-0344 x18 or visit Centre Stage. |
