The Greenville Chamber, the Upstate Employers Network and Ogletree Deakins, working together, managed to educate and entertain a record crowd of 350 attendees with the latest updates on HR law at the 19^th annual Human Resources Law Update held this past Tuesday.   And that, my friends, is not easy to do in this day and age of rapidly multiplying regulations surrounding FMLA, ADA, workforce wellness programs, veterans, employee benefits, protecting proprietary information, to name just a few issues discussed during the event.  Keynote speaker Leah Brown, CEO of A10 Clinical Solutions, Inc. from Cary, N.C. gave us much needed pointers regarding the “New Silent Generation” and dealing “those crazy employees!” Some would say this is an exciting time for HR folks as they meet these challenges head on and provide more strategic value for their companies.  Those that attended will certainly have a leg up in their profession and the confidence to move their companies forward thanks in part to the comprehensive and detailed presentations given by the experts at Ogletree Deakins.
