Congratulations to Talent Management Solutions for being selected as Greenville Chamber April 2014 Small Business of the Month! The award was presented at today’s board meeting by Debbie Nelson from our selection committee and DNA Creative Communications along with sponsor, Charter Business, represented by Ken Pelanda. CEO David Mitchell accepted the award on behalf of the company. David has been a longtime supporter of the Greenville Chamber. He and his company will no doubt represent this award well! On a personal note, I was very excited to see Talent Management Solutions win as David and I were Leadership Greenville classmates. The “3-6” as we call it… yes we have a secret code and hand sign! Our classmates reading this will understand! We take pride in “3-6ers” doing great things for our community. Talent Management Solutions was founded in May of 2000 and serves clients with a comprehensive array of staffing, recruiting, and consulting solutions in the permanent and temporary placement industry. Over the past 14 years TMS has provided staffing resources in the fields of management, engineering, sales, marketing, finance, accounting, and information technology. And they do this at the local, regional, and national levels! The company has continued to grow over its history… most notably with a 30% increase in 2014 revenue. As mentioned, TMS and David Mitchell are extremely involved in the community. David has served on many boards including the Greenville Transit Authority, Legacy Charter School, the Greenville Housing Authority, and the Friends of Richland Cemetery. The company gives back by providing free employment services and skills training to the Olive Branch Project Black Male Workshop and to the Greenville County School District. In addition they provide career development services and on-the-job training to participants in programs at DSS, SC Vocational Rehab, and Goodwill. Talent Management Solutions joined the Chamber in 2005. Since then they have been highly involved in initiatives such as Inno-Venture Prism Minority Programs, Leadership Greenville Curriculum, Chamber Membership Recruitment, ACE Leadership Symposium, and the Minority Business of the Year Selection Committee. The Chamber is tremendously grateful to David and TMS for their service! I highly recommend giving them a call. They will take care of you! To learn more… browse their website at www.tmsco.net.
