The Greenville Medical Clinic (GMC) officially opened its doors to local Greenville residents. Located at 50-C Parkins Mill Road directly off of Laurens Road, the medical clinic is unique to the area in that it has a walk-in fee of just $20 per visit. Patients in need of medical attention are seen and treated by a professional Family Nurse Practitioner with a Masters of Science in Nursing. The clinic requires no appointment or insurance. GMC is owned and operated by Licensed Nurse Practitioner, Toni Silver who hosted a "Walk -In Open House and Tour" that invited locals to view the new facility, ask questions about the types of illnesses treated and clinic hours, and meet clinic staff. The event was attended by a number of Greenville government and business representatives, members of Greenville Chamber of Commerce, and GMC's marketing group. When interviewed, Toni Silver explained her viewpoint and philosophy for opening the clinic, which she proudly noted was "a lifetime dream." "GMC is a one-of-a-kind, professional medical facility with old-fashioned values," stated Silver. "Patients don't want to feel rushed, or like they're just a number in the waiting room. So we take time to listen as we treat each person. My goal is to be a personal, go-to health care provider …establishing a confidential and trusting nurse-patient relationship. I care about this community, and by keeping my fee to only $20 — I'm able to bring wellness and peace of mind to every resident."
