Posted by: Pulse Young Professionals on Wednesday, August 27, 2014
As young professionals in the digital age, there are certain perks that come with growing up with the awesome technologies at the tip of our fingers. Among the services and entertainment that Uber, Yelp and SnapChat offer us at the touch of the screen, certain Apps on our SmartPhones can help our multi-tasking habits both in and out of the office. 1. EverNote Free on iTunes, this is an organizational diva’s main tool. This app acts like a digital, cloud-based organizer for your life. Need to take notes on the fly, record a meeting or conversation, or store pictures that you can access anywhere? This app syncs via the cloud so you can access your inspiration wherever you go. 2. Mint If you have not heard of this great all-in-one financial site, you need to run, not walk to your nearest iPhone. Want to see your student loan balance, bank statement and savings plan all in one place? This is your go-to app. It pulls all of your finances into one place and helps you plan for the future. Activate its email update service to know each month how you’re doing on your monthly savings goals. 3. Pocket We can all find ourselves too busy at work to read each and every one of the articles the boss forwards us for professional development, and trying to find them days later can mean combing through hundreds of emails. Then came Pocket. This app lets you save all the articles you deem worth reading, for work or for your personal life. It’s all there waiting for you for when you DO have time to read. 4.  Basecamp Basecamp is also known as the project manager’s dream app. Any collaborative group project can be a hassle to organize, but Basecamp eases all of your back-and-forth email nightmares. You can invite all of the people involved in a particular project, upload PDFs and debate ideas all in one place. No more searching for final-decision emails with this great addition to your workplace. Are there any apps you can't live without? Sound off below and share with your fellow YPs.
