Top Reasons to Love Pulse Pacesetters

Posted by: Pulse Young Professionals on Monday, October 10, 2016

My Pacesetters experience was the perfect launching pad to help me connect with the Greenville business community. When I moved here 6 years ago, the first thing I did was join Pulse Young Professionals and apply for Pacesetters. I didn’t know anyone, so although it was scary to put myself out there, it remains one of the best decisions that I have ever made. Pacesetters is one of those things that you get out of it what you put into it. I made sure to take advantage of the opportunity and attend every event and build relationships with my mentors, group members, and the participants in other groups. For me, it was an amazing opportunity to develop new skills and improve my leadership style.

One of the best perks about Pacesetters was the way leaders in the community opened their doors and arms to us. It was a great opportunity for someone like me who had just moved to the area to understand the landscape of the industries and learn more about different opportunities to get involved here in the Upstate. I still keep in touch with my mentors and know that they will do anything to help support me as I continue to grow in my career.  It has also been fun to stay in touch with my group members over the years and watch them move up within their organizations and make such an impact. I would attribute a lot of the successes to the resources and leadership development that comes from the Pacesetters program.

As a representative of the Clemson MBA Program, we are so proud to sponsor the Pacesetters program. Our visions align so well as we are both committed to developing talent and the future leaders of our business community.
