John Harris Body Shops was founded in 1975 by John Harris, Jr. with a flagship store on Stadium Road in Columbia, SC. Through hard work and a strong belief in giving back to his community, John Jr., grew to three shops in the immediate area and in 2005, due to declining health, his two sons, John III and Campbell, took over ownership of the small chain.

Having grown up in the industry, John and Campbell were familiar with how body shops had always done things, but they knew that there was a more efficient way of running a shop that could improve production, ensure quality repair and guarantee customer satisfaction. Studying manufacturing models and utilizing their firsthand knowledge of the industry, they developed a revolutionary process that focuses on a start-to-finish single vehicle repair, and making the entire shop more efficient, from inventory to employee work footprint. The process emphasizes continuity and quality standard in every location, in every job. JHBS is the ONLY collision repair chain to be ISO 9001- 2015 Certified, signifying their commitment to continual process improvement and quality.

This process set a new standard in the industry and growth was imminent. Over the next few years, they expanded from their Columbia headquarters, opening new locations in the Augusta, Charleston and Greenville regions. Their newest location at 240 Feaster Road, marks their fourteenth location and the second in the Upstate area (the other is located on W. Wade Hampton Blvd in Greer).

This multi-generational veteran owed business specializes in collision repair of late model vehicles. John Harris Body Shops will work directly with your insurance provider and provide a quality repair to get their customers back on the road quickly and safely.
