MASK UP initiative equips small businesses with PPE

Posted by: Megan Campbell on Tuesday, July 7, 2020

The Greenville Chamber and US&S partnered in June to ensure that all businesses have access to the right PPE to keep their customers and employees safe. The MASK UP initiative started with 10,000 masks - meaning 100 small businesses have access to 100 masks. Half of the masks were reserved for women and minority-owned businesses.

What began as a 10,000 mask initiative has since grown! Because of the giving spirit pervasive in the Upstate, the initiative has grown to include 30,000 more masks thanks to generous contributions from Sonfast Corporation, BMW and International Vitamin Corporation!

Participating as a small business is simple:
1. Take the Greater Greenville Pledge. You must have taken the Pledge to be eligible.
2. Sign up for masks here. When registering, select '1' for the amount as each individual registration includes 100 masks.

All Upstate small businesses and nonprofits are eligible to participate.

Sign up is available from now until July 15th, or while supplies last. Masks will be delivered Thursday, July 23th.

Thanks again to US&S, Sonfast Corporation, BMW and International Vitamin Corporation for their generous contributions, as well as to the participating small businesses for their leadership in ensuring a safe environment for their customers, clients and staff. We hope these masks help as our business community works to reopen.
