Hi everyone! My name is Elisabeth Ford and I am a junior marketing major and management minor at Clemson University from Spartanburg, South Carolina. Being from Spartanburg has allowed me to enjoy the best of both worlds by experiencing the different city environments of Spartanburg and Greenville that are both growing in different ways through the gracious support of the local community and organizations. I am excited to join the Greenville Chamber as a marketing intern and contribute to the advancing city that is thriving with new projects and adventures.
Clemson has been a big part of my life for as long I can remember as I have grown up attending Clemson athletic events, going to Rally Cat camp, or just visiting downtown Clemson since I was little. Growing up in a massive Clemson-loving family whom many graduated from Clemson University, I had no doubt in my mind that Clemson would be my future home away from home. So far during my time at Clemson, the University has been more than I ever imagined as I have made memories I will cherish forever along with more to come.
At Clemson, I have been a part of organizations and clubs that have grown my personal and professional relationships in the marketing field. I am a member of the Clemson University Marketing Association which brings in Clemson graduates in the marketing field to discuss the role marketing contributes to their company. I am also a part of Clemson FCA where I served on the Freshman Outreach team this past year and will be on the events team along with being a small group leader this upcoming year. This next year, I will also be a part of the Student Advisory Board for the Academic Success Center at Clemson University which provides resources to students seeking help in challenging courses.
I plan on graduating from Clemson University in December of 2022, and I hope to live in Greenville to further my career in marketing. My past internship was with Hungry Button, a food delivery company that was new to the Clemson market and I helped the company reach out to the Clemson community. This past year, I have become interested in exploring the marketing role in nonprofit organizations and I am currently a marketing intern with the Chapman Cultural Center in Spartanburg along with Neue South, a marketing agency in Spartanburg which both contribute greatly to the nonprofit community of Spartanburg. I am excited to become a marketing intern at the Greenville Chamber and help in any way with growing the great city and community of Greenville.
