Hey everyone! My name is Saanvi Merchant, and I am thrilled to join the Greenville Chamber of Commerce as the Economic Competitiveness Intern. Being a native to Greenville, SC, I have watched this city develop into the prosperous and sustainable environment that it is, sparking my interest in this position. I am constantly looking for facets to delve into the inner workings that have created such an atmosphere and serving as an intern seems like the perfect opportunity to do so.

Currently, I am a senior at JL Mann High School here in Greenville, SC. I plan to graduate in the summer of 2022 and pursue Corporate Finance & International Business. My interests align with leading others to develop strategy at a higher level for the benefit of others, thus creating my career aspirations. By serving as an intern at the Chamber, I am excited to have the opportunity to expand upon these interests and bolster my career aspirations.

Outside of the Chamber, I serve as the Finance Director of various advocacy groups based in SC, train in classical dance and piano, and serve as the Co-President of the national non-profit The Leaders Readers Network, dedicated to supporting literacy in underfunded schools. I have a strong passion for advocacy, leadership, and finance all of which I hope to contribute to my work at the Chamber.
