Marty Elliott managed stadiums, arenas and performing arts theaters, booking thousands of performers and sporting events and overseeing the operations in beautiful venues for more than 25 years. During her tenure working with promoters, artists, and facility managers she realized that business was moving so fast to meet the needs of the customer that often the needs of the business went underserved.
“I saw firsthand how short staffed most operations were and how many hats staff are expected to wear. The current situation with staffing and supply chain shortages makes this even more true.” Elliott said.
Elliott explains what prompted her to open a Schooley Mitchell office in Greenville. “When I learned about Schooley Mitchell, I saw what a valuable service this would be for most businesses. We are a trusted, independent group of cost analysists who work on contingency. We save companies time and money using the data and relationships we have developed by serving more than 25,000 clients nationwide. Everyone in business is busy – there is more to do than there is day to do it. That’s why I believe every business should have a team devoted exclusively to saving them money who are only paid when they are successful in doing so.” She said.
Marty opened a Schooley Mitchell franchise in February of last year and immediately joined the Greenville Chamber to connect with local businesses. In her first year of operation, she has earned a spot in the “Elite Eight” for Schooley Mitchell. This designation means she is finding significant cost savings for clients. Schooley Mitchell is the largest cost reduction group in North America with more than 250 branch offices.
“We have retail clients who are saving in shipping costs, manufacturing clients saving in waste, restaurants saving in merchant services and facilities saving in utilities. It is deeply satisfying to work with business leaders and owners to help negotiate solutions that lead to real savings. The money saved is money earned.” Elliott said.
For Marty, running a Schooley Mitchell office is a lot different from running an Arena, but the thrill is still there. “There is nothing more rock & roll than helping my clients succeed!” Rock on Marty, congratulations on your new endeavor and on being awarded the Greenville Chamber’s March Small Business of the Month.
