Among Top Metros of 2022, noted industry bible Site Selection magazine ranked the Greenville MSA #1 for 2022 among metros with a population of 200,000 - 1 million residents. The national publication cited the consistent and strong job growth over the last decade, along with continuing capital investment, and expressed confidence in the future as GADC implements its first formal strategic economic development plan.

In tandem, Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP) earned five awards from the Airports Council International’s Airport Service Quality awards that rank “the world’s best airports as judged by customers.” GSP earned accolades in North American categories including Best Airport of 2-5 Million Passengers, Most Dedicated Staff, Most Enjoyable Airport, and Cleanest Airport.

Simultaneously, national media are agog again with kudos, with Travel & Leisure ranking us #3 in the U.S. among its “10 Most Beautiful and Affordable Places to Live", citing the spectacular and walkable downtown, lively food scene, and affordability, among other characteristics.

And the good news keeps coming, with recent Q1 economic development announcements here by GE Appliances, life sciences company Erchonia, and others. Expect more announcements in the near future as well. After all, who doesn't love Greenville County?
