Messer Construction Co. has expanded into South Carolina with the opening of its 11th regional office in Greenville—bringing a 90-year history of leading complex commercial construction projects to the Upstate.
As an employee-owned general contractor and construction manager, Messer is focused on building better lives for customers, communities and each other. This aligns with the community-oriented culture of the Upstate, where local businesses thrive on cooperation and shared success.
“We’re committed to building trust among all those who work with us, including employees, clients and project partners,” said Messer Vice President and Greenville Region Leader Erin Thompson. “We have a track record of leading safe and high-quality construction projects with transparency and innovation, as well as creating opportunities for diverse businesses.”
Messer has expertise across a portfolio of market segments, including aviation, health care, advanced manufacturing, higher education, science and technology, public/government, commercial/mixed-use and more. Since opening its office in Greenville earlier this year, Messer has already begun working on a project for an advanced manufacturing client in the Upstate.
From a community investment standpoint, last year Messer and its employees donated $2.7 million to nonprofit organizations across six states. Employees also invest time and talent through volunteering and board leadership.
“Expanding into a new region means we’re truly investing in the community—hiring locally and empowering our people to get involved in the nonprofit and civic organizations that make the Greenville area so dynamic,” Thompson said.
