The Salvation Army of Greenville held a ribbon cutting for the grand opening of its new Thrift Store on March 20th, 2024. The new store is located at 2402 E. North Street.
The Salvation Army provides four Thrift Store locations across Greenville, Pickens & Oconee Counties. The new Greenville store will replace the previous storefront on Rutherford St. The Salvation Army Thrift Stores provide a wide variety of vintage clothing, shoes, hats, books, seasonal home decor and more at affordable prices. The stores rely on donated items from the community to resell, with proceeds staying in the community to benefit The Salvation Army’s
mission programs such as providing shelter, food boxes, utilities assistance and more. Donations are tax-deductible, and receipts are available at each store location when items are
dropped off.
“When you shop and donate to The Salvation Army Thrift Stores, you’re making a positive impact right here at home,” said Major Mike Harris, Area Commander of The Salvation Army of Greenville. “We hope the community will join us on March 16 as we open the doors of our new location, and then visit us frequently as our store items are always changing. You never know what treasures you might find!”
