Designed for youth ages 11–16, this Red Cross Babysitter’s Training class teaches leadership, safety, emergency response, and child care skills in a fun, interactive environment. Includes certification, training materials, and an optional CPR add-on for even more preparedness.
Help your child gain the skills and confidence to become a trusted babysitter. This engaging and hands-on course is perfect for youth ages 11 to 16 who are interested in caring for younger children safely and responsibly. Participants will learn:
- Leadership and decision-making skills
- How to recognize and respond to safety hazards
- Infant and child diapering and feeding techniques
- Interview and résumé tips
- How to handle emergencies including life-threatening situations, conscious choking, rescue breathing, and basic first aid such as applying direct pressure to control bleeding

OPTIONAL CPR ADD-ON
Upgrade your child’s training with the CPR Add-On, which includes a blended learning module (to be completed online) and a one-hour in-person skills session from 6:00–7:00 PM. This add-on provides an Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED/First Aid Certification, valid for 2 years.
