City of Greenville Parks Trainee

Setting: Parks Shop + In the Field
Description: Gain hands-on experience in Greenville’s 40+ park system while attending operations meetings and building leadership skills. Work with Parks Crew members to identify, monitor, and manually remove invasive species like Tree of Heaven, English Ivy, Kudzu, Leatherleaf Mahonia, and Privet using methods such as hand pulling, digging, and stump cutting. Ideal for students interested in environmental work and land management.
Desired Skills / Coursework: Willingness to work outdoors in varied conditions, ability to follow safety procedures and handle tools responsibly.
