City of Greenville Tourism & Special Events Trainee

Setting: Office and Outdoors
Description: The trainee program will involve assisting in planning, developing, promoting, and implementing the City of Greenville’s many special events. Duties will include assistance with event set up, creating event timelines and schedules, event checklists, tracking, recording, and reconciliation of event expenditures, providing support to event staff on execution of all necessary permits and approvals and coordinating local vendors.
Desired Skills / Coursework: The trainee’s responsibilities will involve attending meetings, calling vendors for pricing, answering phone calls, maintaining up-to-date event documents including site-schedule forms and action items. Assist with operations and marketing for City of Greenville events and supporting events, including Fall for Greenville, Artisphere, and all weekly series events, including the TD Saturday Market, Main Street Fridays, and Moonlight Movies.
