Community Impact Intern

Setting: Hybrid - in office, remote and at Girls on the Run sites
Description: As a Community Impact Intern, you’ll help bring the Girls on the Run mission to life by supporting teams, events, and community outreach. This role is ideal for students who enjoy being active, meeting new people, and helping behind the scenes. You'll assist with program needs, help plan and promote our seasonal 5K, volunteer on race day, and support post-event tasks. You’ll also coordinate volunteers, share promotional materials, and represent Girls on the Run in the community. Tasks may be adjusted based on your strengths and interests to help you explore different areas of nonprofit work. Typically, this role does not require weekend hours, except for two key events in the Spring: the GOTR Groove Spring Fling (a gala fundraiser at Bridgeway Station) and the Spring 5K, both of which will be held on Saturdays.
Desired Skills / Coursework: We’re looking for someone positive, reliable, and excited to work with others. You should enjoy being part of a team, communicating openly, and taking initiative when needed. Strong time-management and organization skills are helpful, especially when balancing schoolwork. An interest in topics like leadership, health, communication, or community service is great but not required. Most importantly, you should be eager to learn, grow, and make a positive impact in your community.
