LaunchGVL Student Ambassador
Setting: Within the high schools
Description: Job Description:
Interns will serve as a school representative for the LaunchGVL program, which promotes internship opportunities at area high schools. Students will primarily work out of their home school. Duties to include:
• Social media marketing – creation of attractive marketing materials to be approved by the school/social media coordinator for distribution
• Creating and manning a lunch and learn table at home high school during designated lunch periods
• Selectively target opportunities that are geared towards certain programs and go into those classrooms for a brief presentation:
- Show how to get to LaunchGVL site
- Go to targeted job description
- Show how to apply
• Assist at Interview Days (one every term)
Desired Skills / Coursework: Skills:
• High level of communication skills, both verbal and written
• Leadership
• Outgoing/sales-type personality a plus
• Reliable transportation to Chamber for interview and training and to University Center for LaunchGVL Interview Days
• High level of initiative and trustworthiness to help shape marketing plans independently and specifically to the schools, classrooms and students
CTE Admin or Director of Counseling will supervise and evaluate
