Operations Intern

Setting: Office
Description: Internship Description: Assist with planning, organizing, and attending community events. Represent the organization and engage with the public at events. Help with daily operational tasks of the nonprofit. Provide basic financial and administrative support. Collaborate with staff on outreach, communications, and special projects. Internship Objectives: Gain hands-on experience in nonprofit operations and event planning. Develop public speaking and community engagement skills. Learn about nonprofit financial processes and record-keeping. Strengthen organizational, communication, and teamwork abilities. Contribute to the mission of supporting youth and families through meaningful work.
Desired Skills / Coursework: Desired Skills / Coursework: Strong communication and interpersonal skills Public speaking or community engagement experience (preferred but not required) Interest in nonprofit work, youth development, or social services Organizational and time management skills Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Workspace Familiarity with QuickBooks or other financial software Ability to work independently and collaboratively Coursework in nonprofit management, social work, public health, communications, business, or related fields Experience or coursework in event planning or marketing is a plus Basic understanding of financial processes or administrative support (a bonus, not required)

Range of Hours & Days: Flexible based on student's school schedule
Range of Pay: Starting $12/hr with an opportunity for a raise.
