City of Seneca Arts, History, and Culture
The City of Seneca Arts, History, and Culture focuses on visual and performing arts education, local history research and preservation, and recognition of our local cultures and customs. Currently, the Lunney Museum (a 1909 house museum listed on the National Register of Historic Places) and the Bertha Lee Strickland Cultural Museum (focusing on local Black/African American history) offer year-round educational and entertainment programming for persons of all ages. Our expanded focus of projects under development includes: Seneca Center for the Arts, Oberlin Faith Cabin Library Museum, S.C. Upstate Black Heritage Trail, Carter Archives for Preservation and Research, Seneca Storybook Trail Park, and historic Blue Ridge Field park renovation.
