Vision: Our vision is a community working together to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to thrive in Greenville. Mission: United Ministries serves and empowers those on the transformative journey to self-sufficiency and is accomplished through 3 focus areas: Education & Employment – The Adult Education program helps individuals prepare for the GED. Employment Readiness helps people find and keep quality employment by providing job training; assistance with earning certifications; help with resume writing, interview skills, the job search and removing barriers to employment. Crisis Assistance - Offers financial assistance with rent, utilities, food, and life-sustaining medications. Homeless Services - In addition to providing basic services such as showers and laundry, the Place of Hope day shelter provides case management through which the root causes of homelessness are addressed. The Interfaith Hospitality Network (formerly, GAIHN) partners with congregations to offer temporary housing and meals for homeless families with children while working with participants to achieve a long term solution to their homelessness.
