Vicinity Is Where Financial Capital Meets Social Capital

Investing In Local Businesses

We started with a question: why are people only investing through dehumanized, robotic transactions thousands of miles away? We’re emotionally invested in our communities, yet we’re financially invested in Wall Street.

So why not bring investing closer to home?

Vicinity Capital is a platform dedicated to connecting local businesses with local investors. We do this through a FINRA regulated online funding portal, along with networking and educational opportunities.

Businesses can use the platform to promote their financing campaigns, while investors register, peruse live offerings and invest with the click of a button. With amounts as small as $100, anyone can invest.

In addition to our educational resources, we feature local businesses on our Invest Local Podcast to highlight the impact they’re having on their communities. Ultimately, we see ourselves as the bridge between business owners and everyday stakeholders (or lenders) within a community.

“The more we pour into our community, the better it becomes, the more we understand it, and the more we grow to love it. Because the reality behind any ‘business’ or ‘market’ is that, at their root, they’re all simply people serving other people.”

-- John Crawford, Vicinity Co-Founder

We invite you to take part in this new wave of investors putting their money back into local communities and stimulating local entrepreneurship and local economies.
