(Greenville, SC) The Greenville Chamber’s leadership has elected Will Huss as chair-elect of its Board of Directors. He will take over the highest volunteer leadership role for the Greenville Chamber in 2022. Huss will serve as chair-elect throughout the next year and will be joined by three new Board members.
Huss, Chief Executive Officer of Trehel Corporation and National Coordinator of Reformed University Fellowship (RUF), currently serves on the board as the Vice Chair of Talent and Workforce. He has served on the Greenville Chamber Board of Directors for four years.
In his role at Trehel Corporation, Huss focuses on strategic direction and vision for the Greenville-based general contractor. He is also the owner and has been with Trehel for 23 years. At RUF, Huss focuses on the organizational health and strategy of the campus ministry serving over 170 college campuses across the country.
“I am excited about this opportunity to continue to serve the Greenville Chamber and business community,” says Huss. He adds, “The Chamber has been a leader in economic growth, workforce development, several local and state political issues, as well as many other areas of interest for Greenville and the Upstate. Trehel was welcomed to Greenville by the Chamber several years ago when we moved our headquarters, and they have continued to support us in many ways since. The navigation through the pandemic so far has been done masterfully by the staff and board of the Chamber and I am thankful to be associated with them.”
Three local leaders will join the Board of Directors in 2021, representing multiple industries:
- Matt Caldwell, Bon Secours Health System President
- Jessica Donan, EY Greenville Office Managing Partner
- David Feild, Colliers International Market President
Rich Hagins, CEO of US&S, will serve as Immediate Past Chair. Max Metcalf, Manager of Government and Community Relations at BMW Manufacturing Company, LLC, will chair the Board in 2021.
According to Metcalf, “It has been an honor to have worked alongside Will Huss of Trehel on the Chamber Board the last few years and see firsthand his commitment to the community through his role as Vice Chair of Talent and Workforce. Will is a great selection as Chair-elect and a real plus for the entire Greenville team – staff and Investors alike. The Board of Directors joins me in congratulating him.”
The Board of Directors is the policy-making body of the Greenville Chamber. Its members represent the business and professional leadership of the community. New members will begin January 2021.
