The June 4th weekend will be rocking in Greenville, SC. In an effort to celebrate all those impacted by cancer, Cancer Survivors Park Alliance (“CSPA”) will be hosting a series of events during the weekend designed to honor, remember and celebrate survivorship during National Cancer Survivors Day.
Headlining the weekend is a triumphant return to live music. “ROCK THE LOT,” will be ticketed two-day drive-in concert experiences centrally located at the Greenville Downtown Airport. Each night is a separate ticketed event.
Kicking it off on Friday, June 4 will be Yacht Rock Revue, America’s ultimate tribute to the soft rock jams everyone loves from the 70’s and 80’s.
Houndmouth will pick it up on Saturday, June 5, an American alternative blues band hailing from Indiana that successfully blends alternative country, indie and folk rock for a unique sound.
How It Will Work
Both concerts will begin at 7:30 p.m. and run for four hours. Like a normal concert the artists will perform live on stage with a standard concert venue setup. Unique to ROCK THE LOT, non-transferable tickets organized in two different price ranges, will be assigned on a per automobile basis, per night allowing for up to six (6) passengers to attend. Tickets for Tier One are a premier, closer spot and will cost $450 per car night #1 (Friday) and $300 per car night #2 (Saturday) and Tier Two will cost $300 per car night #1 (Friday) and #150 per car night #2 (Saturday).
A single ticket will reserve a drive-in-styled parking zone, essentially two consecutive standard-sized parking slots, for one car one night. One of the slots will be used for parking. The other can be used for a tailgating-style experience. Alternating rows will be staggered for optimum viewing.
Website to purchase tickets will be live on Friday April 23rd at 10am: Rockthelotgvl.org
The Stipulations
“Oversized vehicles” such as RVs, Winnebagos, campers or sprinters will not be allowed. While guests are permitted to bring their own food and set up a picnic, for safety reasons no grills or cooking equipment will be allowed. No outside alcohol will be permitted and all automobiles will be checked at the entrance gate. Alcohol and food truck options will be made readily available on-site. Guests are permitted to bring chairs, blankets, etc. so long as they don’t impede the view of other patrons. The concerts will be rain or shine, and in the case of inclement weather, FM broadcast to car stereos is available.

Cancer Survivors Day Celebration – Sunday, June 6 @ 10:00 a.m.
This year’s Cancer Survivors Day Celebration will be held with safe social distancing on Sunday, June 6 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Cancer Survivors Park. Our online educational story sharing platform will be launched at the park this day to include options for the public to take photos and share their cancer stories online. The event is free to the general public with social distancing management.
“For those that are ready to reconnect this is a pretty significant opportunity to reengage,” said Kay Roper, executive director of the Cancer Survivors Park Alliance. “The last fourteen months has been unprecedented and CSPA is grateful to be able to continue offering virtual programs and manage the park spaces in partnership with the City of Greenville. We still have much to do as we transition from completing bricks and mortar to a focus on incorporating the creative features, programs and resources that are the essence of our vision - creating a space for hope and healing.”
