The Greenville Chamber designs every visit around your community’s goals. We connect you with the right people, build a targeted itinerary, and create meaningful opportunities to learn, engage, and apply insights back home.

Over the past five years, more than 65 communities—including Richmond, Sarasota, Little Rock, and Sioux Falls—have partnered with us for insight and inspiration.

Ready to bring Greenville’s playbook to your community?
Review our FAQs and submit an Intercommunity Visit request to get started.

Spring and Fall are the busiest times. Please check the calendar here for availability. We receive so many requests throughout the year; we can only effectively accommodate 1 group per month.

A planning fee is required. In recognition of the services provided by the Chamber, all visiting organizations are asked to contribute to the Greenville Chamber. The fee is $25 per person with a minimum of $500.

The Greenville Chamber meets with the visiting delegation planning team and walks them through the development of their agenda. Introductions to speakers are made as well as confirming meeting venues and restaurant recommendations. An introduction to VisitGreenville (CVB) is also provided to assist with hotel arrangements.

Most communities visit for 2.5 days, beginning with a welcome reception the night of arrival. This is followed by a full day of learning from local and community leaders throughout Greenville. Topics of interest are downtown revitalization, public-private partnerships, local business and industrial recruitment, regionalism, visitors center, arts and culture, city management, affordable housing, community development, young professionals, higher education, workforce, and entrepreneurship. Group dinners are always encouraged so visiting attendees can get to know one another. The last day is usually wrapped up with a morning session then departure.

  1. Meetings with City staff, economic development partners, individuals from the education field, workforce and talent professionals, a presentation and walking tour with Greenville’s Mayor. Optional items include:
    1. Tour and/or enjoy a game at Fluor Field, where Greenville’s baseball team plays, the Greenville Drive. The Drive is the South Atlantic League affiliate of the Boston Red Sox.
    2. Walk or bike the Swamp Rabbit Trail, a 19.9-mile multi-use trail. Stop at Unity Park for a rest.
    3. Driving experience or tour at BMW, about a 30-minute drive from downtown Greenville.
    4. Tour Greenville’s arts district or catch a show at the Peace Center or Bon Secours Wellness Arena.
    5. Enjoy shopping and dining in Greenville’s downtown area. Downtown Greenville offers more than 200 restaurants to choose from.
