Alex was born in the upstate but spent most of his childhood in Irmo, SC. He came back as soon as he could by attending Clemson and hasn't left since.
While in college, he met his wife, Kate. Together they have a daughter, Isla, and son, Hart. In his free time, he enjoys being outside with his kids, watching Clemson athletics, and playing golf.
