Liz Horton (IOM, CCEC)

 

Liz originally hails from Honaker, VA, but has been in SC since 1998, when the U.S. Air Force brought her husband, Derek to Shaw Air Force Base in Sumter, SC. She relocated to the Upstate almost five years ago. She met her husband in elementary school and they have been married almost 28 years. They have a ten-year old son named Huck and enjoy taking family trips together. Liz is an amateur painter, who loves to read, and craft. She firmly believes that “cooking is love made visible”, so she enjoys spending time in her kitchen cooking and baking and loves entertaining her friends and family.

• 20 years’ experience in the Chamber of Commerce industry, and over 25 years of nonprofit experience
• Graduate of the Institute for Organization Management, earning IOM designation
• Named one of TALK Greenville’s 25 Most Beautiful Women of the Upstate in 2019
• Riley Fellow, Class of 2018
• CCEC (Certified Chamber Executive of the Carolinas)
• South Carolina’s 2011 Chamber Executive of the Year
• South Carolina’s 2006 Outstanding Young American in Business Leadership
