Request for Proposal: Opinion Research Firm

Posted by: Matt Wills on Wednesday, June 17, 2026

The Greenville Chamber of Commerce seeks a reputable opinion research firm to conduct a countywide poll to provide a better understanding of attitudes among likely general election voters with regards to ballot referendum questions. This research will strengthen the Chamber’s advocacy efforts and serve as a resource for elected officials, community leaders and the public.

Scope of Work: The selected firm will conduct one comprehensive poll. The firm will survey a representative population of high propensity voters in Greenville County with a targeted margin of error of less than 4%. Additionally, the firm will provide data for the municipalities across the metro area. Data collected by the selected firm would be the sole property of the Greenville Chamber.

Polling Topics: In coordination with Chamber staff, the selected firm will draft questions for the poll. In addition to the ballot questions provided, the Chamber seeks to survey voters on the following issues: growth, trust in government, perceptions of the business community, taxes, housing, livability, educational attainment, childcare, data centers, and tort reform. In addition to collecting respondents’ demographic information, the firm will also survey how the respondent receives their news and stays informed.

Timeline: All proposals are requested to be submitted by Thursday, June 25th with the goal of publishing the survey by early to mid-July. Please remit proposals and any questions to Matt Wills, Vice President Government Affairs [email protected].
