The Greenville Chamber is celebrating national recognition for three staff members during the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) Annual Convention, taking place in New Orleans.
The honors reflect the Greenville Chamber's continued leadership within the chamber profession and its commitment to advancing best practices that strengthen businesses and communities.
Among the announcements:
- Liz Horton, Chief Operating Officer, has been appointed to the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) Board of Directors. The board is composed of chamber leaders from across North America who help guide the strategic direction of the association and the future of the chamber profession.
- Greg Dietz, Senior Investor Development Manager, has received Bronze Level recognition through ACCE's Dana Ketterling Lifetime Sales Achievement Awards. The national award recognizes outstanding career achievement in chamber membership sales and investor development. Dietz earned Gold Level recognition for achieving more than 500 membership transactions or $175,000 in career membership sales, reflecting his longstanding success in strengthening the chamber through investor growth and engagement.
- Cheryl Garrison, Executive Director of Greenville Chamber Foundation and Vice President of Talent and Leadership, has been named to a second term on the ACCE Foundation Board of Directors. The ACCE Foundation advances research, education and innovative programs that help chambers of commerce strengthen their organizations and better serve their business communities.
This year's recognitions build on the Greenville Chamber's longstanding leadership within ACCE. President/CEO Carlos Phillips concluded his term on the ACCE Board of Directors this year after serving as board chair in 2023.
"Having three members of our team recognized on the national stage is an incredible honor for the Greenville Chamber and for our community," said Carlos Phillips. "These appointments and achievements reflect the caliber of professionals we have on our team. We are fortunate to have one of the best chamber staffs in the country, and it's rewarding to see their expertise recognized while representing Greenville and the Upstate at the highest levels of our profession."
The ACCE Annual Convention brings together chamber executives and industry leaders from around the world to exchange ideas, explore emerging trends and share innovative strategies that strengthen local economies and communities. This year's convention is being held in New Orleans and features educational sessions, peer learning opportunities and national recognition of chamber leaders.
