2023 Intercommunity Leadership Visit
NASHVILLE, TN
SEPTEMBER 20 - 22, 2023
More than 2 million people and more than 530 thousand businesses call the Nashville region home. But, it has not always been that way. Over the last decade, Nashville has seen a tremendous amount of growth by making big bets on themselves. However, that growth has come with challenges.
Back in the Upstate, it's projected more than 250 thousand people will relocate to Greenville County by 2040. Imagine all of Anderson County picking-up and moving here. With that population boom in mind, The Greenville Chamber is making its mission to be prepared for that growth.
On this year's trip, centered discussions around these priorities:
- Growing an Inclusive Economy
- Increasing Educational Attainment
- Developing a Robust Entrepreneurial Ecosystem
- Building a Vibrant Metropolitan Region with a High Quality of Life

ABOUT INTERCOMMUNITY LEADERSHIP VISITS (ILV)
On our journey to building a globally competitive economy, we know there is much to be learned from other communities. The Greenville Chamber’s Intercommunity Leadership Visit provides a biennial opportunity for local leaders to spend three days in world-class cities across the country learning how we can accelerate our growth in ways that make sense to us. In addition to learning opportunities, these visits provide a great way to develop lasting relationships with current and emerging Greenville leaders. These visits are designed to inform the conversation moving forward.
