In September, the Greenville Chamber hosted 60+ business leaders in Nashville, TN for the 2023 Intercommunity Leadership Visit. On the visit, attendees gained valuable insights into Nashville's rapid growth and their economic development strategies.

The Greenville Chamber strives to foster continued dialogue about the important topics discussed and to drive action that extends well beyond the September trip. 

Whether you attended the Nashville ILV or not, here are ten actionable ways you can make a difference in our community based on the priorities discussed in Nashville. We urge attendees, our business community and the general public to engage as they see fit.  

Ten Actions to Take:

1. Connect with your local elected officials and ask them how they are preparing Greenville for the growth that is to come.  You can find who your local elected official is https://www.gcgis.org/apps/voterinfo/ 
2. Connect with the Greenville Chamber’s Business Advocacy team to keep up to date with important issues impacting future growth. 
3. Have your company engage with educational attainment and workforce initiatives such as TalentRiseGVL and LaunchGVL.   
4. Support minority entrepreneurs by engaging in the SC Minority Business Accelerator, Supplier Gateway and related programming.    
5. Connect with NEXT to explore ways to support local entrepreneurs.  
6. If you have an interest in transit, attend a Local Citizens Transit Academy. Details here.  
7. If you have an interest in attainable housing, connect with leaders at Greenville Housing Fund, Affordable Upstate or other local champions .  
8. If you have an interest in supporting Greenville’s brand development and overall visitor economy, connect with VisitGreenvilleSC.  
9. Continue the dialogue regarding ways Growing a Greater Greenville through engagement with Accelerate or through participating in the Chamber’s work hosting delegations from other communities (a great way to learn what other communities are doing and how they view Greenville).
