Hangar 28 Kitchen and Events, a vibrant new hospitality concept, is preparing for its highly anticipated landing at the heart of the Greenville Downtown Airport. Hangar 28 is A fresh, family-forward destination combining a scratch-made kitchen with a modern private event venue.
Bringing ambiance and new energy to Greenville’s historic aviation hub, Hangar 28 Kitchen and Events has transformed the iconic South Ramp restaurant and hangar space into a daily gathering spot and an elevated event destination.
The restaurant will feature a daily selection of handhelds and shareable plates, along with a weekend breakfast in a fully renovated restaurant space. The menu, designed to service the aviation community, families visiting Runway Park and the broader Greenville community, will pull from some of Ballentine’s classic dishes from previous restaurants like her parmesan-crusted pita melts and her deli-style sandwiches with house-made spreads, toppings and meats. A rotating selection of weekly specials will ensure diners always have something new to try.
In addition to the restaurant, Hangar 28 also includes a full-service events arm that includes venue, custom catering and management. The newly remodeled and now climate-controlled 3,500-square-foot hangar next to the restaurant offers a one-of-a-kind experience. A newly installed 16-foot glass hangar door provides an unhindered view of the active runways.
